ARGENTARIO GOLF CLUB
Thank to our new exclusive partnership our guests will benefit from an exclusive treatment at the prestigious and beautiful Argentario Golf Club. The Golf features 18 panoramic holes for a total of 6,218 meters and par 71. The course has been awarded the “Agri Cert” certification for its bio eco-compatibility, and all products used for its maintenance are completely natural.
Pitigliano is an ancient village with an enchanting atmosphere that stands on a high cliff surrounded by small rivers and hills. This wonderful piece of work, all built in tuff, is a testament to the finest human art of knowing how to build in harmony with nature. Pitigliano has two sisters “tuff towns”: Sovana and Sorano.
In the heart of Val d'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni is a small "private" village off the usual route. The sight is breathtaking: the village square is a thermal bath of the sixteenth century . This almost mystical setting is a corner of Tuscany where silence, charm and good food are a religion. Between a Cafe, a good restaurant, libraries and ancient herbal stores you forget the time passing and breath the best of Italy.
Protected by the rolling hills of Siena this Gothic Abbey built around the year 1200 BC represents one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in all of Tuscany. Its thick walls are supporting a roof made only of sky and it’s name is that of the holy Cavalier Galgano, whom at the height of his Christian conversion, inflicted his sword in a rock with the aim of turning the weapon into a cross. The “Sword in the Stone” a source of myths and legends is found in this magical place in Tuscany.
A flourishing Etruscan centre between the third and seventh century BC, Sovana became an important medieval village. It too is built exclusively of tuff and is a gem from that time. The central square is wonderful, but there are also many monuments to visit, the ancient Etruscan tomb shaped as a Greek temple and the incredible Vie Cave.
This winery designed by renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano, is a joint venture of two companies -a French and an Italian – with the aim to discover and develop a new wine production of the highest level in Maremma. The belief is that this area has the same potential of the famous hills of Bolgheri and Scansano and the same will to pursue excellence in wine creation. The Rocca di Frassinello vineyard and it’s wonderful wine are now famous around the world.
“Legend has it that Saturn – god of abundance – was angry one day with men for their continuous wars. He threw a thunderbolt onto the earth and gave warm, sulphurous, gushing water that covered the world and brought peace. From that water, like a cosy womb, men were born wiser and happier. The setting of the legend was in the heart of Tuscan Maremma: Saturnia, where the water spurts with a flow rate of 500 litres per second at a constant temperature of 37 °. Beautiful medieval village situated in the Natural Park of the Val d’Orcia. Montalcino is dominated by an ancient castle and by high walls. This beautiful historic city from the authentic taste of Tuscany is famous throughout the world for the superb production of the precious wine Brunello di Montalcino. Very good restaurants and wineries are in the area to visit.
This village perched above the sea, is located on the southern end of the Maremma Park. In the small port everyone knows each other. There are hidden restaurants on the small streets, offering freshly caught fish. On the rugged and rocky coastline is Bagno delle Donne, a charming place with clean water where to escape from the crowds during tourist months.
8,900 acres of unspoilt, quiet paths to walk or bike and wild beaches. This jewel of the Tuscan Maremma stretches from the village of Principina a Mare to Talamone. The wetlands near the Ombrone river house important colonies of wading birds. In the dense Mediterranean vegetation you can find deers and other wild animals, while over the grassy plains you can still admire the legendary cowboys (Butteri) riding their beautiful steeds.

The winery was built inside a hill, 30m dug deep into the rock and designed according to the most innovative technologies for the production of wine. A spectacular work of engineering and architecture puts this company among the most advanced in this area and in Europe.
The historic centre of Massa Marittima, surrounded by walls, is situated on a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Small streets lead uphill to this magical and timeless place. The enchanting colors and light welcome every new visitor leaving him breathless.
